 About the role  
  


Are you a dynamic communicator with a passion for community engagement? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team as Communication and Activity Coordinator.  

 

In this unique role you’ll drive communications to store teams and manage the comms and community calendar. You’ll have active involvement in driving our business forward and make a real impact by delivering valuable communications to our teams.

Day-to-day you’ll

 

 

•    Develop and cascade communications to stores, ensuring language, content, and comms platform is appropriate for team members.
•    Create content for various communications, such as operational guidelines and how-to guides, to support store team members. 
•    Promote community events, such as Autism Awareness Day, and drive engagement with our community initiatives. 
•    Plan and implement the annual communications plan, including feel-good stories and communication strategies for both team members and customers. 
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, including P&C, Safety, Commercial, and Online teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination.


 
 
About you and your skills

 


 
With a minimum of two years' experience in Communications, you have some experience working in retail and take a proactive approach to understanding team needs and delivering impactful communications.

 

Confident in engaging with various teams to understand and support their initiatives, you have excellent written communication skills and project management abilities. 

 

 

 

You’ll also need:   

 


•    A passion for community engagement and developing impactful initiatives.
•    Tech-savviness and the ability to leverage platforms like Yammer for effective communication.
•    Strong organisational skills and the ability to work at a fast pace. 
•    Confidence in stakeholder engagement and management.
•    Excellent planning skills.
