About the role

 

An exciting opportunity, in a full-time and permanent capacity, has opened to join the Commercial arm of the business, specifically within Grocery. You will play a key role in setting the strategic position and its overall growth, whilst navigating the challenges within the FMCG landscape.

 

What you will be doing

 

Reporting to the General Manager of Commercial - Grocery, you will develop and implement key growth initiatives in line with business strategies. 
You will develop commercial plans at the category and supplier level that are aligned to our corporate strategy; integrated into range, value and trade planning.

 

You can also expect to:

 

  • Build commercial strategies to deliver long term sustainable growth
  • Define the delivery model of engagement with key trading stakeholders and deliver key strategic projects
  • Manage and engage numerous internal relationships and stakeholders to execute strategies
  • Hold internal teams and suppliers to account on commercial plans and targets through quarterly business reviews and governance rhythms 

 

What you will need

 

We are looking for commercially minded candidates, ideally with category management experience within a relative retail environment, and strong stakeholder management skills.

 

You’ll also need:

 

  • A strong commercial understanding of supplier and category management
  • Proven experience to influence and negotiate a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience in leading strategic initiatives and driving business outcomes
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
