About the role
We’re looking for a Commercial Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of business and data, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality insights, improve data integrity, and support smarter decision-making across the organisation.
Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of data management and governance practices while delivering high-quality reporting and analytics that support commercial strategy.
You’ll also:
- Support the development and uplift of the Commercial Data Management & Governance framework
- Analyse, model, test and validate data to ensure quality and accuracy
- Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI) to track KPIs and data health
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and data quality processes
- Enhance data quality reporting and drive remediation activities
- Collaborate with business units to resolve data issues and refine reporting outputs
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Escalate risks and data issues where required
- Educate stakeholders on data tools, dashboards, and governance practices
About you and your skills
You’re a naturally curious and detail-focused data professional who enjoys solving complex problems and partnering with the business to deliver impactful insights. You’re equally comfortable diving deep into data and explaining findings to non-technical audiences, taking pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
You’ll also ideally have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in data, analytics, or technology
- Experience working with retail or commercial data highly regarded
- Proven experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles
- Strong technical capability in SQL and Power BI (or similar visualisation tools)
- Experience with data ingestion, profiling, modelling and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data issues and implement solutions
- Solid understanding of data quality principles and governance practices
- Advanced skills in Excel
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
- A positive, inquisitive mindset with a desire to continuously learn
