Our newly formed Commercial Trade Activation Team has a primary focus to deliver consistently for the future to meet the needs of our customers and team members. Working in partnership with Commercial, Customer, Digital and Operations, this team will be responsible for delivering a fully integrated customer trade plan strategy and execution through each of our channels across supermarkets to ensure we are building compelling customer moments. 

 

About the role: 

The new position, Trade Activation Planner, will report into our Trade Activation Manager, and support across all commercial and functional areas. You will partner with the category team to ensure the customer trade activation plan is executed and aligning to the Coles customer calendar.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:  

  • Advocating for the customer within the Trade activation plan built by the category team  
  • To bring alignment across all BUs to deliver a customer first plan   
  • Supporting collation of the trade activation plan to ensure it is communicated and presented correctly across the business   
  • Support continuous improvement ways of working and problem solve to ensure workplace efficiencies  
  • Adhering to the critical path, ensuring that the right information is received from the category and customer teams to enable great execution  

 

 

About your skills:  

 

You’re a high achiever with proven commercial capabilities. You thrive in dynamic environments where you ensure adherence to the Trade activation planning Process across category, customer, digital and central operations.

 

Your skills should include: 

  • Knowledge of Trade Practices and general compliance in the retail industry  
  • Previous experience within a FMCG business (preferred)  
  • Task oriented with excellent attention to detail  
  • A customer focused team player  
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes, embrace change and deliver excellence every time
