About the role

By combining the fast-paced culture of retail with the ever-growing world of ecommerce, Coles Online takes the time and effort out of grocery shopping. With services such as Home Delivery, Click & Collect and smart lockers, we’re always working on new ways to make life a little easier for our customers – no matter where they are.

 

An exciting opportunity to join our growing eCommerce function as a Category Marketing Manager has arisen. As part of the eCommerce Media squad you will contribute to and drive online ad sales and other eCommerce media initiatives, working closely with the Category teams and wider squad to drive profitability through this stream.

 

 

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with the Category Management team, the primary focus of the role is to create and implement specific online category plans, in line with the overall online trade and customer category plans, for each assigned BCM category.  You will proactively develop and implement bespoke online campaigns for categories and suppliers to drive incremental sales and profit for the category.

 

You’ll also:

  • Develop Coles Online category level growth plans in line with the overarching trade plan ensuring the plan delivers required target growth
  • Ensure that relevant category teams feel engaged and empowered to grow their categories online
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers so that they can use online to support the launch of new products, speed to market and launch of strategic initiative
  • Lead and drive activating new online campaigns for the category after range reviews and new product launches
  • Be responsible for delivering assigned annual budget and aim to deliver the stretch budgets.

 

 

Good things you’ll need

We’re after a commercial and customer driven marketing professional with a strong understanding of merchandising and category driven marketing strategies.

 

You’ll also need:

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders to achieve an agreed outcome and deliver a project
  • Strong communications skills, with prior experience in relationship management or sales ideally
  • Strategic & analytical way of thinking and strong problem-solving skills
