About the role
Swaggle is looking for a passionate Category Manager to drive our pet product selection, ensuring we offer only the best for our four-legged friends (and their humans!). In this role, you will analyse market trends, build relationships with top pet brands and develop strategies to optimise our product assortment. If you live and breathe all things pets and have experience in category management this is your chance to turn your love for animals into a career. - Manage varied senior stakeholders across different departments
- Responsible for managing a complex, high profile, fast paced category and accountable for growing profitable category sales
- Be accountable for the execution of the category's pricing, promotion, range selection, layout development and product development
About you and your skills
This role will enable you to be super creative and bring your proven entrepreneurial acumen to the forefront in this exciting role. You'll also need:
- Experience in pet care or pet products
- A thorough understanding of managing large categories and delivering a clear customer focused plan
- Proven category management experience in a fast-paced business
- Experience managing complex supplier relationships
- Leadership experience to effectively manage a team and champion team objectives
- Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and developed stakeholder management skills
- A dynamic style, to operate in a fast paced, customer-driven retail environment
- Strong financial acumen within a highly commercial environment
