Our Commercial team is a large, but a close-knit group of trading experts, who are ready to shape the future of Coles. About the role
Join our team as a Business Category Coordinator and play a key role in supporting category performance, maintaining data integrity, and driving commercial outcomes.
We are looking for a highly organised and analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with data, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. In this role, you will support category operations through accurate data management, insightful reporting, supplier coordination, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
You’ll also:
- Manage and maintain product, customer, and market data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Analyse category performance and business information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Produce accurate and timely reports to support strategic, operational, and commercial decision-making.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries and support business outcomes.
- Monitor and maintain supplier records and respond to day-to-day supplier enquiries.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and reporting practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support customer campaigns and category initiatives through data-driven insights and recommendations.
About you and your skills
You are a detail-oriented and commercially minded professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights. You are naturally organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and confident building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
You thrive in a collaborative environment but are equally comfortable working autonomously to deliver results. Most importantly, you are proactive, adaptable, and always looking for opportunities to improve processes and enhance business performance.
You’ll also ideally have:
- Experience in an administration, coordination, project support, or similar role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data entry, reporting, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence interpreting data and identifying trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, or customers.
- A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency using business systems, reporting tools, and technology to streamline processes.
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
