The Digital team is focused on reinventing and transforming the shopping experience to best suit our customers' needs and making their lives easier. We look ahead to continuously assess how we can apply the latest technologies in innovative ways to constantly improve the shopping experience.

The store customer platforms is accountable for all customer facing technology solutions within Coles Supermarkets and Coles Express.  Primary systems in the Platform's portfolio include Point of Sale, Assisted Checkout, In Store Scales and Ticketing.

 

As the Business Analyst you will drive and manage the review and analysis of the organisation's business intentions, services, processes, and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • The ability to scope, analyse, refine and deliver requirements into useable processes, stories and artifacts to enable successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting complex projects spanning multiple business units and IT areas
  • Understanding of retail eco-system, software development life cycles, development methodologies, usability and accessibility
  • Take the lead for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change
  • Accountability for the development and translation of business strategies providing technical and lT solutions to business problems
  • Builds strong partnerships with multiple business stakeholders through one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, acting as a single point of contact.

 

Good things you’ll need

 

  • Formal tertiary qualification preferred
  • 3+ years experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Experience in Agile Methodology
  • Experience in the development of business cases
  • Experience in retail environment
  • Experience modelling ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ process
  • Able to harness information and opportunities
  • Values specialist expertise and capitalises on the knowledge and skills of others within the team and broader organisation
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
