About the role 

 

A fantastic opportunity to join our Coles Express team has arisen on a permanent basis. As the Business Analyst, you will partner and support the team to drive and deliver key objectives within the Coles Express division with end-to-end visibility. An exciting time for Coles, you will have the opportunity to work in an everchanging business.

 

What you’ll be doing:  

 

With over 715 Coles Express locations, you will have the opportunity to work with leaders and teams across various levels.

 

You’ll also: 

  • Support FBP’s in day to day reporting and understanding commercial performance – sales and profit drivers
  • Ownership of ad hoc category performance reviews
  • Manage commercial income process (straights and rebates)
  • Assessment and recommendation of proposed business cases
  • Cost centre and commercial deck monthly reporting (including risks and ops)
  • Involvement in promotional and trade planning process - evolve reporting tools
  • Simplify and distil complex financial scenarios to non-finance stakeholders
  • Understanding business context and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Weekly/monthly review of results and challenging stakeholders as appropriate
  • Be a business coach to improve commercial acumen of the Commercial teams

 

Good things you’ll need 

 

  • Finance experience in a retail/FMCG environment desirable but not essential
  • Experience interacting with financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven experience in preparing, understanding, and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities / challenges and recommend alternate actions
  • Previous experience in managing priorities and expectations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a peer team
