About the role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Analyst to join our Coles Financial Services (CFS) Team. This role will provide financial and commercial support to the CFS business (Consumer Lending, Insurance and Payment Services) through reporting, reconciliation and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and more.
You’ll also;
- Proactively automate, simplify and improve business operational reporting tools to provide greater insights to Finance and CFS stakeholders, and enable quicker and more effective decision making
- Be aware of broader CFS strategic goals and ensure reporting and forecasting adequately captures & aligns metrics to measure both strategic & operational performance
- Preparation of month-end financial reporting, reconciliation and analysis, as well as supporting budget, forecast and planning cycles, in partnership with Group Financial Accounting
- Provide financial support for the development and launch of new businesses/product lines, as well as capital related business cases and submissions
About you and your skills
Ideally, you will have experience working with complex organisations, financial services or FMCG/retail, and are confident simplifying complex financial information for financial and non-financial stakeholders. Sharp commercial skills, a growth mindset and curiosity will set you up for success in this role.
You’ll also have:
- CA/CPA (or similar) qualified
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high pressure and challenging environment
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to support management decision making
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with SAP and TM1 preferable
