About the team

 

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the role

 

The Integration team’s mission is to build bridges between the different tooling, infrastructure & business services that power Coles. Our brands rely on this seamless integration to serve over 21 million customers at over 2,500 outlets around Australia every day.

 

As an Associate Software Engineer in Integration Services, you will work alongside our best integration engineers to design, implement and maintain enterprise. You will work closely with the engineering team, tech leads, architects to understand existing applications, business requirements to design Azure native solutions for data flow migrations running on IBM systems, and finally build & own quality software that meets the customer requirements.

You will be an enthusiastic contributor to the team, a self-starter and show initiative reaching out to other Coles team members to accomplish the best outcome for both your team and Coles.

 

 

 About you and your skills:

 

  • Our ideal candidate will have skills in most of the following areas, whilst demonstrating both a desire and commitment to learning others.
  • You will have some experience working with backend programming languages such as Java as well as experience with Python
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders in a remote environment.
  • Ability to work productively and autonomously in a fast-paced remote-first environment.
  • Finally, someone who is friendly, approachable, and has good relationship management skills.
