Property looks after one of Australia’s most dynamic portfolios. With an extensive footprint of over 1,800 retail outlets nationally, we’re growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all thing’s property, from site acquisition through to asset management.
About the Role
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional ready to support the commercial operations behind Coles’ national property development portfolio?. Join our high-performing Coles Group Property Development (CGPD) team and help drive national governance, reporting, and financial coordination across our freehold development portfolio.
As Accounts Coordinator you’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient commercial coordination. You’ll support financial reporting, systems use, and governance processes across multiple projects and stakeholders.
This is a unique opportunity where you’ll be exposed to the full property lifecycle, from development strategy and construction site delivery to leasing and finance; gaining insights and experience that can take you anywhere within property or beyond.

What you’ll do
- Assist in the coordination of financial inputs for development reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Support the preparation of dashboards, reports, and analysis to inform decision-making
- Understand systems such as SAP, Ariba, and other platforms to support procurement, invoicing, and financial workflow methodology
- Contribute to governance and compliance processes including imporved ways of working, Delegation of Authority (DOA) and internal controls
- Provide operational support across mailbox management, task tracking, and stakeholder coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams across Property, Finance, and Project Delivery to ensure smooth and transparent operations
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and reporting tools alongside the commercial manager.
About you and your skills
You’re a confident communicator with sound financial acumen, a strong eye for detail, and a knack for making sense of complex workflows. You enjoy working across systems and data and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Ideally you bring some understanding of construction processes along with experience reviewing, refining, or improving systems and processes; knowing how things fit together from both a practical and systems perspective.
You’ll also have
- 5+ years’ experience in business, finance, or project administration, ideally within property or construction (though we’re open to other industries)
- A financial background with cost management skills
- Sound working knowledge of SAP Ariba
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills (Power BI or similar experience highly regarded but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
- Confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
