About the team


Retail Ready Operations Australia (RROA) is the first Coles owned retail ready meat facility. 
Based at Erskine Park, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. 

Our facility is fully integrated into the Coles sourcing, production, and logistics and stores' network.


About the role


This senior leadership role reports directly to our Head of Site and is responsible for providing strategic and day to day leadership to our high performing operations teams. 
Champion safety, quality and culture and lead the team in continuing to achieve operational excellence. 

 
You will also:

  • Oversee and develop the Senior leadership team with a focus on embedding a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the people plan through strategic workforce planning and robust succession and talent management
  • Champion health, safety and wellbeing ensuring these are viewed as fundamental to our ways of working
  • Manage OPEX budget and identify opportunities for additional savings whilst minimizing downtime
  • Protect and enhance the brand and reputation through expecting quality in all things

 
About you and your skills


You will have:

  • Extensive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably food/short shelf life)
  • Extensive experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and quality assurance systems
  • Exceptional commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience in managing and developing highly efficient and motivated leaders
