About the role

Retail Ready Operations Australia (RROA), is the Coles retail ready meat facility.  Based at Erskine Park we have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvementt whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met.  Our facility is fully integrated into the Coles sourcing, production and logistics and stores' network.  

 

As the Health & Safety Environment Coordinator you’ll be a trusted expert supporting the HSE Manager to deliver on the Retail Manufacturing HSE Plans and key programs.

Assist continual improvement, and facilitation of the HSE Plans for Retail Manufacturing.

Implement health, safety and environment risk management programs.

Support Site Leadership Team to deliver the site strategy and HSE Plan.

 

You’ll also:

  • Assist continuous improvement in lead and lag metrics directly related to HSE performance.
  • Provide risk assessments with clear guidance on practical risk reduction and evaluate business risk reduction plans to ensure effective management of risk.
  • Assist implementation of HSE Plans and compliance requirements across all levels of the business.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HSE procedures in line with the Coles Group Policies and the SafetyCARE system.
  • Assist managers to implement HSE Management System procedures, programs and processes at Retail Manufacturing sites.
  • Encourage and assist the prompt reporting of hazards and incidents, and participating in incident investigations.

 

About you and your skills

  • Awareness of health, safety and environment and other relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
  • Awareness of self-insurance or ISO 45001 accredited safety management systems.
  • Ability to prepare, investigate and present accurate and comprehensive reports.Ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Tertiary degree with health, safety and/or environmental competencies or working towards obtaining.
  • Good level of interpersonal and communication skills
