About the role 

 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager within Coles' Chef Fresh facility, you'll be responsible for the supervision and leadership of the maintenance team and ensuring manufacturing equipment & processes are maintained to a level that ensures high reliability. Leading the team of engineering tradespeople and OEM technicians, the Engineering Supervisor will ensure that the factory is in optimum condition at all times.

 

This is a permanent night shift position working 10PM – 6AM.

About you and your skills

 

  • Experience leading a team of tradespeople in food or fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to work cross functionally to deliver results in quality and productivity.
  • 5 + years of experience in an FMCG environment, preferably in a supervisory position
  • Strong experience in preventative maintenance and resource planning
  • Able to lead, develop and inspire team members, building capability, driving accountability, and creating a great place to work in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
  • Trade Qualification in Industrial Electrical or Mechanical
  • Truly committed to optimize the production process and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent understanding of safety systems such as LOTO, work permits, hazardous work.
  • Knowledge of food processing industry and are well-versed in food safety practices such as HACCP and GMP principles
  • CMMS experience (Preferably MEX)
  • Ability to manage W/O’s and the teams’ activities using MEX
  • Proven experience in the use of Root Cause Analysis tools to find and resolve issues
