About the team 

 
Chef Fresh is the first Coles owned ready made meals facility. 

Based at Banksmeadow, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. 
 

About the role 

 

Take ownership of the implementation of all quality control processes at Chef Fresh. Supervise a team of quality officers in carrying out our mission to provide our customers with the best quality products possible.
We have AM (6:30 - 2:30) & PM (2:30 - 11:00 pm) opportunities available.
 

You will also: 

  • Uphold compliance to the Process Control Procedures throughout the entire production line  
  • Be a key point of contact for the production team on all things food safety and quality  
  • Oversee the verification of all suppliers and make sure all standards are communicated  
  • Collaborate with team members and team leaders to drive results and continuous improvement 
  • Take ownership of all quality and inspection outcome reporting for the Coles Quality and Commercial teams 

 

About you and your skills 

  

  • Minimum of Diploma or equivalent in Food Science or related field 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment 
  • Experience leading and developing a team of direct reports 
  • Excellent priority, time management and communication skills to complete tasks on time and to a high standard 
  • A proactive approach, able to work quickly and identify challenges and risks    
  • Worked with or can learn quickly how to use a range of tools/equipment or systems for quality testing
