About the team

 

Chef Fresh is the first Coles owned ready made meals facility.

Based at Banksmeadow, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. 
 

About the role

 

Take ownership of our quality standards at Chef Fresh through managing the timely completion of quality inspections for all stages of the manufacturing process. 
We currently have a number of vacancies available across AM, PM or Overnight shifts.
 

You will also:

  • Drive a Food Safety Culture by conducting floor-based inspections of the facility
  • Conduct sensory testing and reporting of CCFB Products
  • Record and communicate inspection outcomes to the Coles Quality and Commercial teams
  • Develop quality and non conformance reports for our suppliers 
  • Conduct investigation of any weaknesses or failures in the system  
  • Undertake weekly environmental swabbing as per schedule 


About you and your skills

 

  • Exposure to Quality Assurance enviroment 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with your team  
  • Excellent priority, time management and communication skills to complete tasks on time and to a high standard
  • A proactive approach, able to work quickly and identify challenges and risks   
  • Worked with or can learn quickly how to use a range of tools/equipment or systems for quality testing
