About the team

 

Chef Fresh is the first Coles owned ready made meals facility.

Based at Banksmeadow, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. 
 

About the role

 

Take ownership of the material planning and procurement for our raw materials for our ready made meals manufacturing site. 
 

You will also:

  • Manage day to day orders to keep track of incoming materials with a focus on maintaining optimal stock on hand coverage
  • Work closely with our external suppliers on order quantities, print runs, calls offs and deliveries
  • Liase with the NPD team on materials for new product launches 
  • Identify and pro-actively manage slow moving materials and/or phase-out materials to minimize write-off cost
  • Collaborate within the wider Planning team and be a point of contact for supply challenges 
  • Work with Warehouse Intake department to help manage en-route pallet quantities and write-offs


About you and your skills

 

  • Previous experience in materials planning preferably within an FMCG background 
  • The ability to collaborate with production planning, NPD, procurement, and warehouse teams
  • The ability to handle multiple projects at once 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Intermediate Excel skills and above
