About the team


Chef Fresh is the first Coles owned ready-made meals facility.
Based at Banksmeadow, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. 


About the role


This role is responsible for managing a high-volume ready-made meals food manufacturing warehouse and supports our Warehouse Manager with operational and planning responsibilities. 
 
You will also:

  • Lead and develop a number of direct reports with a focus on mentoring and safety
  • Effectively manage the Warehouse Management System with a focus on data accuracy and minimal downtime
  • Work closely with planning and production teams to manage all raw material and packaging materials to prevent write off and ensure materials are supplied/replenished to the production team on a timely manner
  • Manage the development of warehouse operating procedures and process improvements
  • Ensure all day-to-day operations and process controls are upheld ensuring seamless material flow to the production areas

About you and your skills


You will have:

  • Experience in a high volume complex warehousing & logistics background (FMCG preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in Leading & Developing teams
  • A strong understanding of GMP, Warehouse Management (WMS) and Quality systems
  • Experience in continuous improvement and quality assurance/control
  • Exposure to short shelf life environments is preferred 
  • Experience in lean manufacturing is an advantage
