Chef Fresh is the first Coles owned ready made meals facility.
Based at Banksmeadow, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met.
About the role
We are looking for an Evening Site Manager to lead the Site’s Functional departments across our night shift operations. Hours of work include 8pm-4:30am Monday to Friday.
The role requires the incumbent to lead the team, operations, safety and act as the key escalation point for the site working in a fast paced environment.
As a Site Manager in the Chef Fresh team, you will lead a team to effectively mentor, manage and control production processes and activities through effective planning, resourcing and scheduling. You'll ensure goods are produced effectively and production rate is optimised at the right cost and level of quality.
Other Responsibilities:
- People and Site Management across the entire Chef Fresh site.
- Leadership, management and training of all night shift operators along with ensuring contractors are appropriately managed on site.
- Helping to deliver the strategic deliverables and the continuation of leadership throughout the night shift operations.
- The role will have you championing safety, quality and culture along with building on training and development, role and people capabilities, administering production schedules whilst improving operational efficiencies across the site.
- Waste management and waste trends reduction and review.
- Ensure all products meet Coles quality standards, food safety requirements and packaging regulations
- Identify, initiate and implement new and improved processes that create efficiencies and optimise productivity
- Act as a role model and advocate to ensure production activities and team members adhere to the organisations Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures
About you and your skills
- Sound experience managing high-volume processing factory operations is essential
- Experience delivering on financial and service targets
